 Olson's passion for art was nourished by father, L H Benschneider, a pioneering photographer for Time Life and a teacher at Colorado College and her mother, a scholarship student of the Broadmoor Art Academy and life-long painter, writer and sculptor. Growing up in Colorado, surrounded by remarkable beauty, has lead her in many artistic paths.
